	Analytical Laboratory.

The MCS Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Laboratories Project, involved an 8-story addition to the west wing of Doherty Hall as well as renovation of existing spaces for the Departments of Chemistry, Art and Physics. Learn more about the new labs, opened in 2003.

The Curriculum
Among the strengths of our unique laboratory program are that it:

	•	is project-oriented, beginning in the sophomore year
	•	is instrumentation intensive
	•	provides excellent safety instruction
	•	stresses oral and written communication skills
	•	takes an integrated approach to solving scientific problems
	•	focus on issues relevant in modern chemistry
	•	and delivers excellent preparation for undergraduate and graduate research.
